Lords, a leading distributor of building materials in the UK, announces that Chris Day, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, has informed the Board of his decision to leave the Company to take up another professional opportunity.
Following Chris Day’s recent transition to a partially operational role within the Group, a formal process to identify and appoint a new Chief Financial Officer had already begun and is now at an advanced stage. Chris, who remains a Director of the Company, will leave the Group in the period to 30 June 2024, following the publication of the Group’s Annual Report for the year ended 31 December 2023.
Further announcements will be made, as appropriate, in due course.
Gary O’Brien, Non-Executive Chairman of Lords, said: “Chris has made a significant contribution to Lords as a highly valued colleague and Board member over the last seven years, during which time the Group has delivered significant growth and diversification. He will be leaving Lords in H1 2024 with the thanks of the Board and his colleagues for his contribution to the Group.
“The Board is well advanced in an active recruitment process to identify a successor to Chris and the intention is for the new CFO to be in place as soon as possible to ensure a smooth transition for the business.”
